How We Started
Luis Fanlo, owner of Arrow Sewer & Drain, has been learning the plumbing trade since he was 17. After immigrating to the United States with his family from the Philippines when he was young, Luis determined to build a business that changed the game for plumbing in New Jersey.
After gaining extensive experience in the industry, he noticed there seemed to be a lack of plumbing services that covered both sewer and plumbing work in commercial and residential spaces. This is why he began FMS Plumbing. By blending both excavation and plumbing services into one, he realized he could create a one-of-a-kind, small-business experience for families and residents in the area.
From there, he expanded his craft. He started his business with one truck and one trailer when he was 22. Now, Arrow Sewer & Drain has grown to become a trusted, reliable resource for plumbing needs across northern and central New Jersey. His wife, Heather, is the CFO of Arrow Sewer & Drain. This carries on the minority-owned, family business he has built over the years.
Luis is a member of the New Jersey State League of Master Plumbers, which provides customers with peace of mind about his qualifications and knowledge of the industry. He has dedicated himself to creating a small business with large company services, meaning clients can access the exceptional customer service of a small business with the resources typically found only at larger companies.

Through an extensive civil background and the introduction of heavy excavation, Luis has been able to expand Arrow Sewer & Drain into what it is today. We offer easy, comprehensive plumbing services using the most advanced technology available. This ensures each service is completed in a smooth, time-efficient manner.
Arrow Sewer & Drain is proud to be innovator in the industry. One area we have helped innovate is trenchless sewer repair, a method of sewer repair that circumvents needing to dig up pipes or complete any other excavation on the property. In addition to trenchless pipe repair, we provide trenchless pipe bursting and cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) lining to provide customers with a range of minimally invasive solutions to sewer repair.
We have access to advanced pipe lining and robotic equipment, such as robotic arms and grinders. These tools can be operated remotely, avoiding the process of digging and other traditional methods for excavation and pipe installation. Throughout the years, we have had the privilege of partnering with federal government agencies, large chemical plants, and more, even expanding into New York and Pennsylvania.
We also specialize in hydro jet drain cleaning and hydro excavation services. We use intense water pressure to clear out pipes and complete excavation jobs. This makes it easy to access hard-to-reach or otherwise dangerous areas without having to resort to more intense methods that take more time and include large digging equipment.
